Cable winding drum consists of the following parts
- The design of the drum depends on the diameter of the cable and its characteristics.
- The drive unit of the CRD & Trailing Cables consists of a geared motor with a brake connected to the worm shaft of a worm gearbox, and a sliding unit for torque adjustment called a contorque unit.
- Slip rings are used to transfer power from cable reels through the cable to moving machinery.
- The selection of rollers and roller guides depends on the cable diameter
